Before he headed out to the Boxing Day sales on Yonge Street in 2005, Jeremiah Valentine ignored previous court orders and slipped a familiar item into his pocket: a fully loaded, snub-nosed .357 magnum revolver.

Creba’s family OK’s makeshift memorial removal

The makeshift Yonge Street memorial for slain 15-year-old Jane Creba has become too large for its home outside of Foot Locker where the teen was killed.
With the support of Creba’s family, the rapid accumulation of stuffed animals, flowers, posters, notes and candles has been removed from the spot of her death by city officials.

The ‘Stop the Violence’ Campaign

On Yonge Street just north of Elm Street, in front of the store in which 15-year-old Jane Creba killed by an errant bullet, a group of about 200 gathered to mourn the deaths of all those killed by guns in 2005. Toronto police release name, details of shooting victim

Toronto Police have released a name and other details about a 15-year-old girl who was shot and killed on Boxing Day when gunfire broke out in a downtown area bustling with shoppers.
Late Wednesday, with the authorization of the victim’s family, Det. Savas Kyriacou identified her as Jane Creba.
“Jane was a Grade 10 student at Riverdale Collegiate,” Kyriacou said.
He also released the results of a post-mortem examination.
